She is guest lecturing from Richmond, Virginia (a.k.a. RVA) in which Untold RVA is the people’s choice for the ethical presentation of the missing pieces within Richmond’s historical narrative, and describe her current institutional partnerships within the preservation and museum communities!

"In the spirit of this call to action, a team from the UMass Center for Design Engagement (CD*E) was invited by the Richmond-based Sacred Ground Historical Reclamation Project to conduct a series of community meetings, discussions, and presentations on how to advance a community-generated design proposal that commemorates and revitalizes Shockoe Bottom. After an intense period of listening, discussing, and distilling, the CD*E team presented a preliminary design proposal at Richmond’s new Black History Museum and Cultural Center in front of a standing-room only crowd. Now the team has polished that presentation and made it available online."
Note that some signage and a temporary memorial does exist. Signage and an altar were placed at the perimeter of the Burial Ground by Free Egunfemi of Untold RVA.
A truly inspired Feast RVA dinner on January 19th, 2014 with a room of enthusiastic diners and inspired presentations. Great food, music & an extra-large grant for #untoldrva. With a room full of new-comers we look for a great crop of submissions for the next event, which are open now.
