8:Talk about the thing you are most proud of. 19:Talk about something that happened in middle school. 38:Talk about songs that remind you of certain people.
8: This is a hard one. I donât know if I have a thing that Iâm most proud of. I have a lot of things that Iâm proud of for a lot of different reasons, but I donât think I could rank them like that. Iâm really proud of my decision to continue to follow my dreams even though it meant moving thousands of miles away from home before I might necessarily feel âreadyâ. Â One of my favorite quotes is âif you wait until youâre ready youâll be waiting foreverâ and that, among other things, came into play a lot when I was making that decision.Â
19: One time in the sixth grade we were taking standardized tests, and one of the things we all loved about testing week was that we could bring snacks to eat during the designated break times. But I, for one, was having none of that âdesignated snack time shitâ and was just munching on ritz crackers the whole day - I would just chew really quietly and stop moving my mouth if the teacher looked at me. I probably should have been a bit more careful though because I straight up inhaled a shit ton of ritz cracker crumbs by accident, nearly coughed up a lung, and had to go to the nurse.Â
38: Celebrate by Kool and the Gang will always remind me of my cousins because one time when we were all little and they were in town visiting us we all went to the pool and we all intensely jammed out to that song in our swimming gear, the whole way there and the whole way back.Â
Your Hand in Mine by Explosions in the Sky used to remind me of Avery because she was the one who showed it to me but now it will always remind me of my friend Nic because one day when I was visiting her last summer I listened to that song on repeat for like 2 hours while I cried and attempted to write a really heartfelt letter, haha.Â
Feel So Close by Calvin Harris (along with like 5 or 6 other songs, I couldnât really pick just one) will always remind me of Avery because she showed them to me and I listened to them all the time while we were dating.
I had the same dilemma picking a song that reminds me of Erinn that I had with picking a song that reminded me of Avery, but Iâm going to go with 1996 by The Wombats. One of her friends introduced her to it this summer and she showed it to me (and I really liked it). We listened to it quite a bit and I also put it in that baking video, therefore it will forever be associated with that time in my life.
I also have an absurdly long list of songs that remind me of Sleep No More, which is definitely a person and not a place but I donât actually care because SNM has had an insanely huge impact on my life, the size of which is only rivaled by handful of people in my life. Moonglow, A Nightingale Sang in Berekely Square, and Sandman - all by Benny Goodman, have been some of the more major ones, along with the mix of electronic stuff they use in the rave scene.
