Real
for @peaches2217 and his god-tier writing. also got some inspo from @itsavee4117 and his idea to mummify the two (and @pepperycar for the heart rate comment 😂)
on a lighter(?) note…

I had a question, I really liked untarnished and was wondering how Spirits section of Dark Links trauma plan would go? Also was it ever explained as to why Dink couldn't destroy First's sword?
Hmmmmmm Spirit’s section………
I think it would be around trains - i mean, obviously - but like. Have you ever seen a picture of a blown up steam engine? Those things are horrifying and could absolutely be a cool zelda boss. They have to fight a train. Spirit’s worst nightmare.
As to why Dink couldn’t destroy First’s sword - either it was because the sword was forged in the name of Hylia, and Dink did not have the power or right to destroy such a thing, only a mortal could.
Or it might have been because he’s kinda dumb and it didn’t occur to him.
Your choice!
(also sorry for taking uuuuh a million years to respond to this i really liked it but wanted to sit down and give a good answer and then NEVER DID)
Dearest Child of the Light
Dearest child of the light shining bright as darkness falls Do you hear the wordless voice of eternity as it lovingly calls How is it you see what we cannot seemingly you alone are unafraid Can it be you’re untouched by this life and death game we’ve played Why do you remain untarnished by the selfishness of yours and mine I know not, yet with your help I hope one day as one we all may shine

The Lake
There was a lake that lay in the distant White and Silver Plain. Its surface was like a perfect mirror, untarnished or dimmed, undisturbed by bird or stone. We watched as the warrior removed his garb and slipped into the water. We watched as he dove beneath the surface. We saw the water go unnaturally still once more. He never came up for air. We know that somewhere, in the distant Plain of White and Silver there is a tiny lake that has no bottom, and that all who enter it have never left. This was that lake.
What is it about cereal. It's pure.
Hi! Hello!
I just love your works on AO3 (first found you from Hero's Aspects, but I really enjoy reading all of your LoZ fics)
anyways, even though I've read your fic Untarnished so many times now, the ending always gets me to turn into a sobbing mess.
And oh wow would you look at that, just finished rereading said fic for the nth time, and what do you know, I've got tears running down my face once again.
Alrighty, now that I've said that, time for me to drink some water (mandatory Hydration check) so I'm not dehydrated like a raisin tomorrow, and I'm off to probably reread Hero's Aspects. Again. For like the 20th time.
I'll be fine. Probably, maybe. then again I love how the ending of Hero's Aspects keeps the crack vibes going!
HELLO FRIEND HELLO!
Thank you so much! This is so kind! And aaaaaah Untarnished! It's still my favourite thing that I've ever written, i'm considering binding it and everything. I'm so glad that you enjoy it.
I am THOROUGHLY hydrated! I mean. I'm currently drinking wine, but i drank lots of sensible fluids through the day and will do again before bed.
Thank you so much! I'm glad that you also enjoyed the end of Aspects! Have a wonderful day!
