The underground tunnels of the former Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital were designed in order to quickly travel between the various buildings, and were often used by staff during bad weather. At one point they had miniature railway tracks that were used to deliver food to individual wards.

The Phantom of the Opera used to hang out here. Seriously. These ropes are located on the ‘fly floor’ of the Elgin Theatre. It's considered bad luck to whistle in a theatre during a live performance because the men who originally operated these ropes were predominantly sailors trained to hoist and drop things at the sound of a whistle.
