Part 1: Hi there! I've been thinking a lot about my spirituality & I'm hoping you can provide a little clarity. I don't believe in any gods/deities, but I do honor the earth and all who live on it & the universe as a whole. I DO believe that there's a universal conciousness that connects everything, and it can be "tapped into" for the benefit of yourself or others, either via magic(k), law of attraction, prayer etc. (Cont...)
Part 2: Anyhoo, my question is: Do you know if there’s a specific name for people who think like me? I’ve looked into Humanistic Paganism/Atheopaganism and they’re a bit TOO pragmatic for me. Yes, I know I don’t need labels, but it would be nice to find others who have the same thoughts & ideas as me yaknow?  :-) Thanks so much!       Â
Labels used to be productive or to find others of similar mind aren’t bad at all, man. We understand.
It sounds like you lean towards pantheism or panentheism. Jungian theory would probably be something you’d like, if you don’t already, especially with the concept of a collective unconscious.Â
There’s a theosophical/New Age belief in something called the Akashic records, which you can think of as a kind of library collecting the records of every lifetime lived by every soul, and with proper training it’s said that a person can access this information. I’ve seen it come up most often among people who do past life work.
Alchemists tap into this universal principle as the prima materia; if you’re into science or even herbalism, alchemy might interest you.
Some forms of soft polytheism are an outgrowth of the idea of a universal consciousness in the belief that the named gods and goddesses are individualized aspects of the divine whole.
