Gender Photoshoot: Overpainting

-After creating digital edits I decided to experiment with hand rendered experiments, I was inspired by Gerhard Richter to overpaint on some of my photographs. 

-The most significant element of this experiment was my choice of colour palette; I used pink and blue to signify the stereotyping of gender alongside white to blend the colours together smoothly.

-I believe the merging of colours and the messiness of the overpainting expresses the idea of blurring gender boundaries and relaxing the idea of gender within society which links to some of the answers I received from my interview with the two models.

THREE MAIDENS DESIGNS

as the followers of the queen, they are the most snake like of the characters. designing for groups is fun to put small differences between them.

the headpieces of the 3 ladies show a snake mouth preparing to eat the sun, stretching out to eat the sun, and then a closed mouth to begin digesting the sun - the sun being represented by their rhinestoned faces.

Exploring the balance between characters through print. 

The Queen of the Night represents chaos to balance Sarastro’s order

Pamena and Tamino’s arc balances one another through experience, contrasting their naivety

Mistakes are hella chill. Basic arithmetic especially! Did you know that even Silly Math Wizard do that too?

Solve all the way for x even if it equals zero (ie. 15x = 0 // x=0)

Variable thiefs are at it again! Spotlight your variables (ex. x, y, etc) to keep the sneaky thiefs at bay!

Make sure to write out inequality solution in a single statement
