I love makeup.
I love transformation.
Even so, I want to get to the place where I can love myself without putting so much effort into my appearance.
I want to get to know the girl beneath the facade. I want to learn to love her for who she is. That's why outside of public speaking and professional photos, you most likely will not find me wearing makeup. Yes, I would like to be like everyone else around me... To blend in and feel absolutely beautiful. I don't want it to be from a superficial place.
I want to learn to love myself unconditionally. To me, unconditional love is not covering up the flaws just so I can see the perfections.
I'm not saying makeup is bad or that you're fake if you wear makeup. It's the perfect tool to help us to feel beautiful and to appeal to the eyes of our peers.
And that's not to say I won't have an occasional makeup day... But it won't be an everyday thing for me.
