“Hey. You must’ve just arrived?” It comes out as a question, but mostly it’s more of an assumption.

The sounds of fair-goers and various rides fade out as she steps into the building, the grips on her boots keeping her footing steady enough that she doesn’t worry about it. There’s nothing in her hands tonight, and she runs her hands down over her body as if making sure everything is in place. She’s following somebody, somebody familiar, and she makes sure as she goes that she doesn’t pick up any scent besides Dante’s and her own. Inside the house of mirrors, all is quiet besides them, and she sees both herself and the vampire reflected back a hundred times as she turns a corner to find him. “Dante.” Chunhwa feigns surprise, like she hadn’t followed him in there to begin with. “The only man I can sometimes stomach — how are you, darling? It’s been months.” Her voice is practically a purr, attractive as she moves in behind him and places one hand on a broad shoulder.

Almost as if on a cue, recognition blooms in her, and she sees probably the last vampire that she wants to see standing in front and slightly to the side of her. Her first instinct is to melt into the shadows and to go unnoticed, but before she can, Damien looks in her direction, and her jaw clenches. The last thing she’s going to do is run from him --- she wouldn’t give him the satisfaction. Instead, she holds her ground, wrapping one arm over her middle, and lifting her opposite hand to give him a sarcastic little wave. Her smile is just as insincere.

“Here, try this.” Crossing her legs at the knee, Cherry leans forward with some enthusiasm, the piece of homemade apple candy she’s offering to Andy already half in her own mouth. The only fun part about this entire event so far has been tasting the different drinks and foods offered, and she takes full advantage of her seemingly bottomless stomach and ridiculously fast metabolism to have as many as possible. “It’s good. I promise.” The sun is getting real low in the sky, and she keeps casting glances around like she expects the entire coven to pop up out of nowhere.

“Baby vampire.” Unruly dark hair stirs in the slight breeze of the early evening, and Cherry leans back against the picnic table she’s sat at, dark eyes focused on the person whose scent she’s just caught. They might not be a baby, now that she thinks of it, but there’s something about the way he holds himself that makes her think she’s right. The leecher has been around for long enough to have picked up a thing or two, particularly so about gauging whether or not a vampire is a threat. This one isn’t. Not even close. “You’re blocking my view.”

“Come on.” Taking a hold of Keung’s hand, Cherry draws him closer to her, grateful for the last remaining vestiges of daylight continuing to illuminate the fairgrounds. “I want a drink, and you need one.” At least, according to Cherry he needs one --- the fact she constantly mothers him makes the way she speaks with authority about what he ‘needs’ something that’s not out of the ordinary at all. Earlier when they’d been wandering about, she remembers seeing a milk shake stand, and that’s where she drags him to now. “I think I’m going to get a pumpkin one.” The seasonal flavors seem out of the ordinary given it’s the middle of summer, but she would be sorely remiss if she didn’t get into the spirit of it all with a pumpkin flavored treat. “You should eat something, too. I’ll buy you a snack.”
