Beeta of Underville takes a rest at the mouth of a cave, beneath a full moon. The Underville mice have a special connection to the moon; Underville itself is located within the moon of one particular Earth (they haven't said how to tell which, and its complicated topology means that they still need teleporters between rooms). The green cheese they carry as field rations is a sly nod to their homeland - I mean, why not? Cheese is good, and the green color is how you know it's full of nutrients.
