“ Harry, I know. It’s okay. ”
There’s concern painted in the bright eye behind cracked lenses. Make no mistake, Pete was hurt, but he’d live. His hand falls to the former Goblin’s shoulder, and he squeezes, as if that might help ground him. “ You aren’t in control of it, and that’s not your fault. We’re gonna make you better. I’m gonna make sure of it. ”
There’s a dip of his head, more-so to reassess the man’s face. Once he finds his eyes, Harry can see the Spider’s own lift, as they always did when he smiled.
“ You’re plenty strong… You’ll get through this… I’m gonna watch you every step of the way… Alright ? ”
♙ THERE’S A LOUD RUMBLE that leaves the goblin at peter’s words. he didn’t believe him when he says its okay because its not. he hurt him -- on accident sure -- from a lack of control. from a lack of concentration and stableness of mind that led them both to this moment. he worries that there’s no way to fix this, to reverse the bodied change that had been made. he and his father were the same. neither knew. peter didn’t know. he breathes out, rough, through his nose as a small portion of his shoulder is squeezed -- this only made possible by him practically loafing on the floor.
he was FAR from calm ; far from settled which led for him to lean in close, gently pressing his large head into peter’s chest. wings flared up some to settle around them half, keeping peter safe from anything or anyone else BUT himself that could be around right now. he notes the smile, which causes tears to well within red orbs, nervous whine leaving the goblin as tail swished from side to side. ❝ as long as you help me . . as long as you get off the ground . . ❞
