.... Really old drawing/reference I never posted cause i wanted to finish the Asgore and Asriel designs before showing this, but never got the time to finish- I might redraw this when I get my new drawing tablet? We'll see.
So Toriel, or Angel as her multiverse nickname is, is mostly just like og Toriel; motherly, devorced, has fire powers, loves puns and jokes and so on. But... She's kinda the gardener of the Ruins, her garden being based on the quite normal gardens that attract a lot of butterflies and need sun to grow (yes, they're still underground with no sun.... Magic~).
Before I started to rethink the story of UnderGarden, I imagined she was the one who helped Sans get his love for gardening after he got injured and therefore couldn't be in the royal guard anymore. But now I just think they're mutually interested in flowers and Sans is able to get out all his thoughts and love for gardening when talking with her, especially cause she can see the beauty of wild flowers on the same level as him ^w^
