Both he and Raven can turn into birds. But you can’t have two semblences. They both grew up in the same tribe- or, in this case I guess it’s robber gang that either grabbed some poor kids or Raven and Crow were ACTUALLY born into it. 

However. Crow’s semblence is misfortune, but he can turn into a bird. So I guess I wonder if it’s a learned power? What if that entire gang/tribe can become corvids. If so, how? If that’s possible, I would’ve thought such a thing would be used more often. Spies taking animal shapes, and hell, armies would travel faster if everyone could fly- gear and all- to wherever they need to be.

I dunno if anyone else have this theory. I’m not exactly a hardcore RWBY fan and while I love to make theories and discuss (which many have been proven true, yay) I prefer to do so in private and as such got no idea if anyone else got theories.

But anyway. The Tribe can teach their members to take on corvid shapes- or at least bird shapes. Because I doubt Raven could be the leader of the Tribe if she had the misfortune semblence as well. It’s still possible- the Schnee semblence is after all genetic and seems to only pass onto the women of their family.

However if Raven DO share Crow’s misfortune semblence, then yeah it would make sense that they both can turn into birds. But it still seems highly unlikely.
