Stuck with another idea. As a heads up, I really don't know when I'll be getting to this, but it's on the list, so it will exist at some point.
So, I found the story where Athena adopted Erichthonios and I think that is just so sweet. Then I began thinking about how Athena has zero experience with babies. I mean, look at them.
This is adorable, but that's not how you cradle the head at all. Therefore, I thought about Athena initially not wanting to tell her family about this. They'll all butt their noses into her business and she doesn't want that. Then Ares just happens to pop up and hears the unmistakable sound of a baby crying. There's no denying it, so Athena tells him about the adoption. To her surprise, he actually begins helping her with the baby. He even teaches her how to carry the child properly because girlie needs help with this CLEARLY. She doesn't expect him to be good at this, but he is. After all, he is a dad. She's just never seen his softer side, but his kids have.
You just have these two war gods who seem terrifying one second and in the next, one is learning how to change a diaper while the other gets formula ready. I pity anyone who tries to bully this kid when he gets older because between his mom and uncle, I don’t think that mortal will even be recognizable.
