PUMA x  UNANIMOUS GAMES are partnering to launch FETE [Female Empowerment Through Esport], which aims to celebrate, empower and promote women in Esports and gaming.

FETE will launch as an invite-only mixer hosted by top gaming influencer Atomic Mari in NYC on January 31st at 7PM.   The event will bring together top industry insiders, women in tech, entertainment and celebrity gaming influencers such Fiona Nova, Missharvey and Xmiramira.

Females represent close to fifty-percent (50%) of the gaming and eSports marketplace; of an industry that is valued at $20B globally.  “The underrepresentation of women in gaming and esports is a critical barrier to the growth of the industry,” said Matt Shaw, Team Head of Digital Marketing at PUMA, “PUMA is excited to partner with Unanimous Games to listen to the experiences of female gamers, and to begin to address some ways we can overcome those barriers together."

The event will allow influencers choose female opponents via crowd-sourcing on www.FETEbyUG.co to play live.  Viewers will be able to tune in via UG’s IG Live and/or third party livestream partner Twitch. This is the first FETE event by UG, and the company plans on expanding more programming throughout 2019. “The gaming world is so large but we at Unanimous games immediately saw a deficit in the support of women in the gaming industry.
