character: soro ven location: anywhere within dusk that makes sense
dusk gave him a renewed sense of adventure. he had grown up in a port city, and he had missed the sound of the water and gulls - sounds he had heard when he awoke on the beach. his job for autumn had been to find out secrets and stories, and he did so with a zest that came with someone who found their calling. of course, occasionally, the story had to end prematurely, as it wasn't the sort of story that should be told -- a press of a dagger was a surefire way to ensure a natural end with no chance for an epilogue or sequel.
soro's cheerful disposition and bright nature oft hid the darkness that lurked behind the mask he had crafted for himself. better to fit in and be overlooked than to shine and be seen. there was one though that had seen him - truly seen him.
as he walked down the street, he strummed the lute, singing a rendition of dark-eyed prince - a song that used to get him in trouble when he first learned it, but now that he was in dusk -- what trouble could he get into? they surely didn't have dark-eyed princes. he saw her ahead of him and he grinned, in the lull of the song, he called out to her while he played -- "pretty lady~! so you got caught up in the magic, huh?" he asked, "a vacation from the mess? well earned, amirite?"
