What happened to the piano serenades you promised me? You and those black and white keys- No melodies echoed to the second floor through gaps in the railing. Hammer and string sonatas dedicated from you to yours truly were never meant to be. There were no compositions kept in time by a left hand that preferred to be nestled in my right.
Now we exist in a silent duet. There was not enough love to make a heart sing.
