     thereâs one person in the world whoâs validation you crave more than anyone elseâs --- and thatâs not jade harley, not really; as much as she validates you, as much as she makes you happy, she isnât the be-all-end-all. ( no: in reality that would be your bro, as dead and horrible as he is. ) BUT TRUTH BE TOLD, a word from jade can make you light up. a word from jade can bring you back from the brink. just her green on your screen makes you smile, and you donât smile much.
     but having her right in front of you, holding your hands in hers, her eyes, green, meeting yours, red --- and sheâs talking, telling you youâre ENOUGH ( and there is nothing better than this, there cannot possibly be. you love jade harley in every possible way. how fucking dare she bring you near tears? )
     before you know it, youâre wrapping her in your arms, struggling not to cry.
     âyou are too,â you say, a little hoarse, and hold her as tight as you can, arms snaked around her --- does she know that you love her? does she know sheâs your best friend? you can only hope she gets the memo. because she deserves to know that she makes you happier than you can possibly make her, even if youâll spend the next thousand years trying to make it all up to her.
