Morning all! Hope everyone has had an enjoyable weekend and made the most of the sun (for those who had it). We only managed sun on Sunday, it poured down on Saturday and made our BBQ quite damp (though it still tasted good!) but we spent most of Sunday out in Ashridge forest with some friends just enjoying the small amount of sun there was!
Anyways, enough about my weekend. I've been a bit quiet on here as I was waiting for my free sample of Ultimate Fix to arrive to try out - when it did come I then needed a free evening to try it out etc etc. So it's been a bit delayed getting this post out, but here we go!
So as you all know, I recently had to take my gels off, I need them off for the exam, and I didn't want them to all still be flakey and breaking by the time it came around as that wouldn't look very good to the examiner. Considering how long they've been on - my nails weren't in TOO bad shape, so I have started painting them and trying to keep them looking somewhat okay. @UltimateFix were giving out a free sample of their spray (it dries, hardens and protects the nail and polish) so I thought I'd give it a go!
Firstly, the free sample was a full sized bottle of the spray - AMAZING! I was so impressed as usually you're provided with a tiny amount of the product. So I was stupidly happy to receive this in the post!
Then we get to the actual product. I was preparing for the toxic, nail polish fume type smell. I'd opened my windows in preparation and was dreading it! But it actually smelled really nice. Even my brother, when he got home from work, commented how nice it smelled (and he hates nail polish fumes) so that was a bonus. It also wasn't a very wet spray, it went on easily and I left it for a minute just to soak in, once I'd done that...my nails were indeed dry! The test was driving, pretty much as soon as I'd sprayed them, the boyfriend had texted me to say he was on the train home so I needed to head off to the station. Usually nails smudge because you're rummaging around for keys etc. But mine didn't!
It's been about 4 days now, and my nails have ONLY JUST started to chip (and I mean the smallest amount) so again this impressed me - I have nails that look like a 4 year old painted them most of the time so to have them hardly chipped is a miracle!
I would definitely get this product again - I'm a very rushed and impatient nail painter - I hate sitting and waiting for them to dry. So this product is a god send if you're also like that! You need to check them out, small company with great prospects!! At £17 for a 200ml bottle, it's definitely worth it!!!!!
Well...it's time for me to leave you now, I will be doing another blog soon as I have a friends wedding reception on Saturday so I'll be doing special occasion make-up and what I'll be wearing :) so excited!
If you want me to review any products or just have some questions you want to ask me - I can be contacted via my Twitter (@missninaalicia) I'm always hanging around somewhere :) til next time peoples! Take care!
- Much love, N.A. xo
