So what's the story behind the helix fossil? And how are these Pokemon gettin their titles like the false prophet flareon?
The Helix Fossil worship began before I started watching the stream so I’m not exactly sure when that became a thing (assuming it just got selected so often people accepted it as a deity) but as far as False Prophet Flareon goes when we first hit Celadon City there was a debate over either getting Eevee and evolving it into Vaporeon so we could have a Pokemon that can learn Surf or if that failed dumping it into the PC to get Lapras later. We wound up choosing to get Eevee and of course accidentally bought a Fire Stone instead of a Water Stone and ended up evolving it into Flareon. After that we accidentally released Abby and Jay Leno and deposited Pidgeot and the fossil (getting them back later). So the chat deemed Flareon a satanic harbinger of misfortune and False Prophet before it was also released a day later
