her hope destroyed, she runs away and disappears into the derelict city. she finds a safe-looking place to stay for a while and sets up a camp for herself. one night, she's ambushed by raiders, and out of the blue a man with a gun scares them all off and shoots a couple. he offers to bring her to his bunker, which is based out of the vault of the bank he works at.

this place is safe, and there are a lot of people here, most of them very regular seeming businessmen and businesswomen. taichi shows komaru around the bunker, and she decides to stay here for a while. during her stay, the bunker receives a number of surprise visitors!
