Something I really want to show with Yuuma is that the opposite of love isn't hatred, but indifference.
When Yuuma was spending all day updating their hate blog for mugami toru, were they really that different from a mugamin? They were probably spending about as much time thinking about the guy. They had nothing going on in their life outside of the celebrity that they loved to hate.
There's also the fact that their hatred came out of misplaced anger towards someone who they liked and admired, and rejected them. They would not have had the same anger at being hurt by Kousei if they had not liked him beforehand. Being bullied by someone they were indifferent towards would still have hurt, but it wouldn't have been so personal.
Thinking about Esparza's Pity the Child from the 2018 Chess production again....
Dang I’ve written like 10 fight scenes big and small in my fic so far but THIS particular one I can’t even get started oof.
Happy doggo :3

Unit 1
Preface
The reason I chose to revise this piece over others in unit one was that I remember it being my worst piece. I remember looking back on this piece a couple of weeks after I wrote it and seeing how bad it was. The story did get across what I wanted it to in the original version, but it did not do it well. I think that I chose an interesting premise for the story. My protagonist has the superpower that makes everyone believe everything he says, even when he does not want them to.
I have changed many lines in the story, so they sound better and flow better within the story. For example, I added the line: “I tell out a sigh once she left, at last my power could get me out of talks with my parents.” to change the tone of the story. Originally readers might see the character as humorous but that was not my intent. I have also removed a few unnecessary sentences that did not add anything to the story.
I have a power where everyone believes everything I say, no matter how crazy or untrue it is. Unfortunately, I can be sarcastic at times which make people believe things I don’t really mean. Everyone people develop powers as children, and when they did, they most likely did not realize how grand their powers were until later in life. I was one of these people. Me and all my friends developed our powers at the same time and all my friends all had flashy powers. For instance, one could control fire while the other could fly. When my friends asked me if I had powers, but I said I did not. I was embarrassed to have tell them I had a wimpy power. They believed me. I was really surprised as I was expecting them not to believe because everyone has powers. After that I was angry to think that my friends thought I was lame enough to not have powers. It took me an hour after I got home to realize what I had done. My power was that everyone believed everything I say. They did believe what I said, even though it was not true. For the rest of the night I had my head in my hands, not wanting to show my face to the world as it was flushed so red.
“Honey are you all right?” My mom said.
She must have noticed I was in my room all night, even though my favorite TV show had a new episode airing that night.
“I’m fine Mom.” I said with a disconcerted tone. I let out a sigh once she left, at last my power could get me out of talks with my parents.
I never did tell my friends the truth about my powers. I was just too embarrassed to tell them. The next couple of years were utter hell. Even though I lived with my powers for most of my life up to that point I would still try to use sarcasm, so people would believe the opposite of what I meant. I could not turn off my power, so people continued to believe things that I did not mean or want them to. I could not figure out how to fix this. This is how I got into this mess, at the age of 26, and am now leading a revolution. I sarcastically said I would start a revolution and people believed me and expected me to follow through on it. I wish I had the power to stop being sarcastic instead of the power of people believing everything I say.
