You know what I hate? Math class, specifically when we’re working on crap like quadratic functions and sine law.
When is this stuff even gonna be of any use to me?!
I am going to be a linguist and an author. I don’t need to know how to determine the x- and y- intercepts of whatever or figure out whether a triangle is ambiguous or not. I need to take the few courses on language that are available to me in a rural school, and human physiology so I know what can kill my characters and what can’t.
“Teacher, what happens if the armour on a guy’s hips and arse melts to his skin? Would that be a second- or a third-degree burn, and would his seminal vesicles be fried by the molten steel?”
