A little different than I thought he’d do it but Oliveira does it! Dustin got off a great start. Knocked Oliveira down with a clean right hook. Had him hurt several times throughout the first round but Oliveira not only hung around but got in a lot of great licks himself. Was really eating with those knees to the body from the clinch. In the 2nd, Oliveira managed to get Poirier down after a collision resulted with Oliveira grabbing Poirier’s arm like he was going for an omoplata. Poirier tried to roll out of it but just ended up with Oliveira dropping elbows on him from inside his guard. Round 3 and Oliveira came out aggressive again. This time he found Poirier’s back while standing and locked up that RNC for the tap.

Pena did what she said she was going to do. She dragged Nunes into a firefight, got her tired, took her down and submitted her in the 2nd. Pena started landing the jab in the opening of the 2nd after mostly being on her back in the first. Nunes responded by going full Cyborg and just loading up on everything. But she doesn’t have the same pop at 135lbs that she does at 145lbs. And Pena was throwing in combos so her shots were landing at the same time. Which only made Nunes throw harder.
