It’s been a while...
The past few months have been really busy, with med school, summer vacation and transferring condos. Luckily, I survived. God knows how thankful I am that I am now successfully on my way to being a second year med student, more-so, having a bigger condo to live in and the trips I’ve been to this summer.
Just last month, I got one of the biggest gifts of my life, and it’s not even what you think. I passed Biochem *yay! cue in a whole band + confetti*. It might not be much, but I was praying for that for almost the whole first year I was in med school. I actually got pretty scared the day before I checked my grades because there were already people that I knew who failed, and believe me when I say my grades were hopeless. BUT, nothing is impossible with God and hard work and going to St. Jude in Mendiola every Thursday wishing to pass *yes, I did that*. Anywho, after looking at my grades, I just can’t help but smile, I even smiled at a random guy enrolling *yes, you turn into an optimistic ball of happiness after knowing you passed*. Hey, you can’t judge me, I cried my eyes out the day before. Kfine. Judge me.
After that, my college friends and classmates came here in Nueva Ecija for our outing. We went to Minalungao on their last day. It was fun being with them again. I missed college so much. I miss Letran and how easy it is to be there. I miss the life without the toxicity of medschool. I miss being with silly people not being serious all the time *medschool people are dun to be with, but there’s a certain hint of seriousness you need in medicine that other people don’t have, k?*. Major separation anxiety followed after that of course. You’ve been with these people for 3 days, and you don’t even know when you’re gonna see them again, sooo yeah, that was kinda bittersweet.
I also went to Balesin with my Mom. Pictures don’t give the place justice. It was breathtaking. I wish I could live there. Everything was in place. It was clean, serene and peaceful. Just what I need. The beach and the pools are nice, too. The food is awesome and having a choice in what you eat is great *though, they are kinda expensive tbh* All in all, Balesin is one heck of a place. Hoping I can get back there soon!!
We also transferred to a bigger condo, twice as large as that of the last. This is so comfortable for me since I won’t have to go out to study anymore *I think* so I can keep more of my money for my last summer vacation next year!
Soooooo, how’s your summer so far?
Lease on Life
P 30, 000. With this amount I started to hitch my dreams to a higher star, choosing to start a sojourn that awards only the fittest to survive as they say. Med school will be a new battle ground, med school a new worry; yet, despite all the drama that involves family, fear of security for the future, health concerns I still find med the dream that will save me,the dream that will fix me and make me whole and full again. I believe that it will give me a path, a direction, I have been wandering for too long now. And as I count years that shall pass inevitably, putting wrinkles on my parents' faces, and to my own (hahaha no!), I wish I am taking the right path as i leave the nightmares, get up and get ready for a brave new world inspired by a dream, and a new lease on life. I'll soon walk your walls UERMMMC, courage don't fail me now.
