So I'm copying and pasting this from my Facebook, but the link is here jic you want to share from there, or reblog from here. No one needs to share this, but you are welcome to if you'd like. I'm just explaining the incident that happened to be recently with an Uber driver I had. Here is the story (copied and pasted): So I wasn't going to post this, but I decided that maybe it'd be helpful, for other people possibly. I wrote this on my notes this morning, but there's somethin I feel is personal in there so I'm going to word that little part differently...if that confuses anyone, sorry about that. Up until now I barley told three close people this. And like usual whenever I type stuff out, I wrote a lot more than expected, so....eh 7/24/18, 10:01am - The "incident" with my Uber driver: Well, last week (on 7/17/18) I took an Uber to work and it was with some guy named Eric, he was my Uber driver. I just told him I was feeling all emo and insecure but I didn't exactly go into detail; I was sad about having a certain discussion with someone recently..but I didn't tell the Uber guy that. Anyway, he was just saying that he was sorry I was feeling down and that he thought I was attractive and pretty, I was like whatever about it when he complimented me. We got to my work so said "bye" and "thank you!" and got out. Then a few days later (7/20/18) around 11:05am, the Uber driver randomly comes to my house to check up on me and ask if I'm okay. He was like, "oh, I remembered that you said you were feeling emo and I wanted to check up on you and make sure you were okay" and I thought it was super weird and odd, though I was nice and said that I was okay, then yeah I pretty much just said bye and closed the door. I told my parents about that, and they said I should report him. Yeah anyway, yesterday I requested an Uber to work again, and it was that same guy. I felt weird being in the car haha While on the way to work he was just saying that I was attractive, beautiful, and then he called me hot. I was just like "...dude, you're on the clock...", just reminding him that he's working and hinting that that isn't being professional. He didn't even say anything back. Then like a minute later or whatever he ask if I'd like to hang out sometime and I straight up just said no super quick lol I told him that since I was feeling sad I didn't even really want to hang out with my other friends either and to not feel offended, but at that point I didn't really care if I sounded kind of mean, cause he was being unprofessional and weird with the compliments, so. But yeah...so I just finally reported him on the Uber app like, half an hour ago probably. - But yeah, so that was it. I thought it was weird... especially that he showed up at my house. And honestly, I wasn't even going to report him, up until yesterday when he called me hot and asked to hang out. I thought that maybe he was just trying to be nice in an awkward way, but no, I'm just dumb ass haha I should of just reported him when my parents told me to, but for some reason I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, dumb enough. But yeah!! My advice to people would be to be careful with Uber drivers, and just go with your gut instinct. If you feel unsafe in any way just try to get out of an awkward situation as safely as you can. This "incident" wasn't even that bad, but still. If anyone would like you can share this if you want, to give people in the Indio/LQ area a heads up. Be safe everyone...((:
