One of the most popular ballets of all time, the indubitable holiday classic, is arriving at the stages of Dubai Opera to ring in the festive season. The Nutcracker is based on German author E.T.A. Hoffman’s classic 1816 tale “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King.” The first ballet adaptation premiered in 1892 at the Imperial Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg. The Nutcracker ballet by St-Petersburg Tchaikovsky Ballet Theatre will be performed at the stage of the Dubai Opera on December 4–7. Watch the celebrated Saint-Petersburg composer Ballet Theatre and a live orchestra bring round life the story of Clara and her Nutcracker prince as they battle the Mouse King and voyage through the Land of Sweets. You’ll cheer and boo at the battle with the not-so-scary Mouse King and his Pirate Henchmice, as Clara and therefore the Nutcracker win the day.

Known for its hauntingly stunning Pyotr Tchaikovsky score, The Nutcracker may be an example vacation show that captures the captivating spirit of the winter season.
