Here comes my 25 favourite rock/pop/r’n’b/hiphop/country albums of 2019. 8. Big Thief – U.F.O.F/Two Hands
The best band in the US right now? Very possible. Brooklyn based Big Thief with their mesmerising singer Adrienne Lenker managed to release two great albums in 2019, an impressive feat. If I had to pick one I would say that “U.F.O.F” is marginally better than “Two Hands”, but it’s a close call. And if you only get “U.F.O.F you won’t get this amazing song from “Two Hands”. Love their surfer drummer (James Krivchenia) who looks like he plays in a completely different band in a place where they only serve tropical drinks with umbrellas.

A recomendação de hoje é a “Cattails”, terceiro tema de U.F.O.F, lançado no início de 2019, que cativa logo pela soturnidade da voz e pela melodia que começa suave mas que, lá para o final, fica algo desconcertante. Mas calma, é um desconcertante bom.
