my mom has this thing where she'll get little, like, premonitions(?) based on what the coffee at the bottom of her mug is looking like after she's let it sit out on the counter for a little bit. i drink coffee at work all the time, so when i noticed a splotch today after the near-empty mug sat at my desk and got cold (formed from the creamer i can only assume), i texted her a picture to, out of curiosity, see what she surmised.
now my mom has been doing this for years and it's a running joke in the family now that when she sees something in the cup, something happens, or her prediction becomes real. this isn't the first time a pregnancy premonition has come true! so, jokey or not, now i'm curious to see what happens. 😭
