Re-inventing theatre: Tziporela at TEDxHiriya
I love TED talks and I love forward-looking theatre. These two things rarely go together (get a few beers in me and ask about why I think "analogue" theatre has such a hard time in the "digital" world we live in).
I'd never heard of these guys, but I like their talk. I looked into them. from their YouTube posts and their website, they seem to do movementy ensemble sketches. Looks like a lot of fringe shows I've seen.
And then a thought occurred to me. If these guys are calling themselves the future of theatre and it is already really familiar (i.e. this doesn't look "new" to me)... is the future of theatre already here? Did I miss it? Am I like an old man who has misplaced his glasses? I find them on top of my head, but I can't seem to stop the search.
Would I know the future if I saw it?
