I arrive at work around 7:55 am and start work at 8 am. Lunch is at 1 pm and i usually have it home. i come back from lunch at 2 pm and Knock off at 5 pm.

unfortunately, i have no desk of my own so i share my Supervisors table as you can see below

I attend morning meetings every Monday with other departments where we get to hear what each department has planned for the new week. it helps me get an idea of what other health departments are doing because they are usually out in the field.

on other days if i haven't gone in the field with my supervisor, am usually reading on Non Communicable Diseases(NCDs) in Zambia or Doing some routine office work like go through reports from the districts to identify nutrition related problems as instructed by my supervisor. i haven't come across any literature in the office on NCDs yet so i search for articles on PubMed (as taught in module 3), WHO website (country profile on NCDs) and Google :) will share soon when put in order!

There's actually not so much to do at the office other than the usual routine work, reading of articles and attending meetings. With the Provincial Medical Office (PMO), the work for programme officers is outside the office where they monitor and evaluate the implementation of health policies.
