Typography
An important element that is present in our daily lives is typography. Even if you are not a designer, you see it everywhere. Basically speaking, typography is an arrangement of letters. On an episode of the Netflix series Abstract, Jonathan Hoefler, a typeface designer, described typography as a dialog between people that creates them and its users.
Jonathan is the founder of Hoefler&Co. His company designed Decimal (sans serif) and Mercury Text (serif), typefaces used in Joe Biden’s (current president of USA) campaign. The sans serif was used for words of action to call people’s attention and the serif type was used for support .
A different category of typeface is script. This one is made to look like cursive. Rare script is a typeface designed by Martina Flor for Selena Gomez cosmetic brand, Rare. The purpose of this type was to share the brand’s vision of embracing the imperfect beauty.
