Tyler stood behind the desk, watching the money being counted. normally it wouldnt bother him. but he knew it was light even though he did his best. you would think a 30 year old man wouldnt be out pushing drugs but he didnt have a choice. he watched the figure turn and look at him shaking their head. “2504? You are even more pathetic than last week! what is your problem tyler?” He was asking, though he knew to stay silent as the hand was raised and landed on his face, knocking the air out of him. he stumbled back and felt ray one of the body guards behind him and knew it was going to be a rough night. 

Where: Kismet Harbor Pier

Riley strolled along the pier, two steaming cup of coffee in hand and a bag of freshly baked pastries tucked under their arm. Spotting Tyler sitting on a weathered bench overlooking the water, Riley's pace quickened.

"Hey, Ty," Riley greeted, a warm smile gracing their lips as they approached, offering the coffee and pastries to their brother.

Riley settled onto the bench beside Tyler and took a sip of their coffee.

"Nothing like coffee and pastries by the pier, huh?" Riley remarked, their gaze drifting out over the tranquil scene before them.

Though their fridge was soon to be stuffed with food from Bridget's Christmas dinner, and the family recipes her mom was making, Bridget and her had decided on some thai takeout tonight before they were eating homemade leftovers for the next week. Waiting in the restaurant while they finished packing up their order, Celine busied herself with playing some mobile game. Christmas music played over the speaker and she mentally sang along. Finally the woman came back with the food all bagged up and Celine took the heavy bag with a thanks. Just as she was about the head out the front door, she remembered their drinks. Their missing drinks. Quickly, she turned on her heel only to collide with someone coming out of the restaurant. Her body slammed into the man and she cursed, fumbling and catching their almost dropped bag. "Sorry! I forgot something." Celine explained as she looked up at the man. Celine recognized Bridget's ex her roommate had pointed out before, but she had no idea if the man knew who she was. "Sorry." She apologized again.
