tyche was always outlined in my mind to have a very low tolerance for what she considered to be 'bad'. this manifests some very mr darcy like "there was the matter of your family" "despite all my struggles, [my feelings] have overcome every rational objection" "did you expect me to rejoice?" moments because she really really likes lucanis (precision avoidance of using the L word here) and of course she has learned to move past that intial opinion she had of him but she's not blind as to what a relationship with him would mean. she does not like the crows. particularly horrifying for her was whatever the hell happened to jacobus. and how the entire duration of the relationship she can't quite figure out a way to make her life and lucanis' own work together so she has kind of filed it away as 'doomed and working off of borrowed time' while still being in the relationship. of course she also expects to die trying to save the world and is dealing with that by not confronting any of this and never consulting lucanis about her worries

i don't even think she realised she wanted lucanis to come back with her, if she managed to live through the evanuris, until this exact unfortunate moment. her worries skew very much in a "i don't care where you go, as long as it is not back in the same place where you will obviously die very badly" but it comes out of her mouth like "you will live a horrible life and it will be of your own making". like NO i didn't expect you to walk back into a life that made you feel like you were destined for death i actually thought by now you'd figured out that you can kill and maim and help people without being a fucking antivan crow. and i do think that she underestimated lucanis' pride in being one.
