Here you were, a high school student, standing in the middle of the rain with an umbrella shielding you from being drenched from head to toe.
You were staring at a group of boys who were trying to do something extremely stupid — like summoning a spirit.
Lips pressed firmly into a thin line, you inwardly sigh. What the fuck.
Out of all places though, why did they choose the damned playground and try to do it while it was raining heavily.
It was beyond you.
Gnawing your bottom lip, you took a discreet glance at the supernatural creatures who were eyeing the group with an air of curiosity surrounding them.
Making your way towards them, opening your mouth to speak to them,
“Hey, what are you guys doing?”
The sound of your voice made their heads snapped around to look at you with varying expressions on their faces, varying from panicked to shocked being plastered on their face.
“Oh...um...summoning a spirit..?” Yeah, no shit, I can definitely see that.
An awkward silence blanketed the rest of you. You bit the insides of your cheeks as you refrained yourself from making a snarky remark.
“...Oh.” Was what managed to escape you as you stood there, glancing at the sorry excuse of a summoning circle.
“Are you really going to summon something with a bag of chips…” You pursed your lips together, “I can see that the spirits aren’t amused with what you’re offering them.”
As they were about to tell you off about it; as if you knew anything until they see your eyes keep glancing around nonchalantly with a plain look on your face before staring at a particular spot behind one of the boys with furrowed brows.
A chill ran down their spine as the realisation dawn upon them as they may have just met someone with a supernatural ability such as seeing paranormal activities and whatnot.
“...Wh-what...I mean, yeah, let’s stop, maybe offering them…” A pause. You watched one of them gulped, an amused glint twinkling behind your eyes.
“Maybe next time, offering them something better than a bag of chips would be nicer.” You explained with a shrug of your shoulders, “but I’d advise you to halt whatever all of you were planning…”
They watched you with anticipation, morbidly curious of what you were going to say next.
“Because I don’t think that I’m able to help and drag your ass out of it when they decided to form a contract bind with you.”
