So during the closed deposition hearing, MAGA loony Lauren Boebert took a picture of Hillary and leaked it to a far right blogger. Because of this bizarre breach, the committee meeting was halted for a while.
The House Oversight Committee has no plans to have Donald Trump testify despite his longtime friendship with Jeffrey Epstein and his being a frequent flyer on the Lolita Express.
Another matter somewhat reminiscent of Epstein involves Rep. Tony Gonzalez (R-TX-23). According to The Guardian...
US congressman Tony Gonzales has refused growing calls from his fellow Republicans on Tuesday to resign amid a furore over allegations that he had an affair with a staffer who later died by suicide. Gonzales has been accused of sending sexually explicit text messages in which he appeared to pressure the senior staffer to share images of herself and, eventually, coerced her into a sexual relationship. [ ... ] In further messages, the father of six reportedly went on to ask her about her favorite sex positions and to fantasize about having sex with her. According to a number of Texas media reports, Santos-Aviles said Gonzales was going too far. In a message to another staffer, it was reported that Santos-Aviles wrote: “I had affair with our boss.”
Of course Republicans have a minuscule majority in the House. If Gonzales resigned, the GOP would be one step closer to losing that majority. So pseudo-Christian Speaker Mike Johnson likely wants Gonzales to stay just as MAGA Mike continues to bend the knee to convicted sex felon Donald Trump.
A reminder that Election Day is only 250 days away. If we want to be rid of the Epstein class then we need to start working on their defeat now. Organizing and listening to what's on our neighbors' minds is what wins elections.
