I guess I'll start with the basic plot of the series.
Well I'm pretty sure the genre would be considered action/adventure. Basically, there are these beings that run the multiverse called the Outer Gods and the strongest of them was sealed away long ago. He breaks out of his prison and defeats his youngest sibling and strips him of his power and hides that power away. The other Outer Gods work on holding him off and retrieving the defeated's power, but they can't get close so they decide to send in demigods who are more likely to go undetected.
