It's twstyuna again. If I may boldly add upon the bridal carry post:
Royal Flush, through the adrenaline and embarrassment, notices how tired Yuu looks up close and decides to not do any villainy for a bit and even obstruct the kidnapping attempts of the others in the League for a week to let the reporter rest. His embarrassment making him want to avoid seeing them has nothing to do with it whatsoever.
King's claws dig into Yuu and make their running ability worse. He'll deny that his hair puffed up like a scared kitten when the explosion goes off behind them. The tail gets caught in their belt somehow and Yuu just tiredly removes the whole thing and leaves it with him. He sends them a new one.
Octo Dealer hides in his pot for a while. The Leeches tease him relentlessly. That is all.
Snake Charmer's beard smudges off their neck or gets stuck there. If smudged, Yuu uses the corner of his headscarf to wipe it off and he decides to tuck the scarf away and use a different one because of the unremovae stains not because Yuu had touched it of course not. If it got stuck, he laughs at the sight of the reporter with a beard half-hanging off their face in a vain attempt to distract himself from the carry. Yuu chucks the goatee into the river out of spite. Waterboy happily produces more from his pockets. Goatee buddies! :D>
Poison Queen is do distracted by his thoughts he doesn't realize when Yuu stops running. Yuu inelegantly drops him. He acts insulted but he's already contemplating whether getting the reporter to interview Vil and either be bridal carried or bridal carry them as a friendly let's-re-enact-a-scene-from-my-next-film incident would make his civillian identity suspect.
Charon.exe has to be handed over to a waiting Ortho because he's still frozen. Once rebooted, he lies limply on his bed, hugging his pillows as he wonders if there are any more secret route CGs in his future.
Tsunotaro makes it a point to bridal carry Yuu when Lilia tells him reciprocating it is a human tradition. Yuu is confused and amused and tells him that is a blatant lie. Tsunotaro is mortified, but it's too late. Lilia's already got pictures.
Thank you for the ask, dear Yuna!
Riddle finds Yuu stunning in all their forms, but the idea that the reporter is excessively fatigued from the combination of their regular duties and super-villainous abductions is enough to rankle. He may not be able to do anything about their job (they were infuriatingly and adorably stubborn about his attempts to intercede there) but he can do something about the abductions, even if it makes him unpopular at the company picnics.
Leona doesnât just need to be let down when Yuu finally gets them both to a safe place. No, he needs to be unhooked. Claws guided out of the threads of their blazer, because they like this jacket, Leona, they wonât have you tearing it, spurs on his boots wearily detangled from where theyâve sunk into Yuuâs trousers. When it comes to how entwined his tail has gotten with with their belt, Yuu just sacrifices the whole thing in the interests of speed. The belt he sends them to replace it has some odd loops along it that they assume is for threading the excess length throughâuntil King shows them itâs intended purpose by hooking a finger through them and dragging the reporter up close and personal~
Azul is never coming out of his octo pot EVER AGAIN, heâs so embarrassed. His cheeks are full of blood and his heart canât stop racing at a rate thatâs surely bad for him, especially at the memory of the scornful look they shot him as they hoisted him up and held him even tighter against them, as though he wasnât somehow too heavy or weighing them downâŚitâs no good. He gives up, heâs living in his octo pot forever now. Floyd and Jade are having the time of their lives right nowâjust mentioning words that even sound like âreporterâ or âYuuâ is enough to have Azul squeaking and huddling up back into a ball of tentacles!
Jamil almost doesnât want to let go when the reporter wobbles and almost drops him as they try to lower him to the ground gently, only reluctantly pulling away after a final squeeze. Which, of course, lets him see how his beard has smudged across the side of their neck and in the hollow of their jaw. Heâs almost reluctant to let them wipe it off, though he does take advantage of the fact that they canât find a tissue or wet wipe to get nice and close to clean it up with a corner of his headscarf. The way they licked their lips nervously at his proximity when they thought he wouldnât notice, eyes darting to his face and away, how one of their hands clutched at his arm for support when he tried to get a particularly stubborn spot, and the slightly breathless quality their voice took on, along with the stained headscarf, arenât things he thinks heâll ever discard.
Vil doesnât so much âget droppedâ as he âgets tripped ontoâ when Yuu canât quite see whatâs immediately in front of their feet thanks to Poison Queenâs skirts partially obscuring the view. Luckily theyâre far enough away from the original blast site that the two of them are safe, but it does make for quite a rough fall, rudely jarring Vil out of his thoughts when his reporter lands on him. Still, the way theyâre almost crouched over him as they sit up and rub their jaw has his mind buzzing with ideas that he can suggest the director work into his latest projectâall so he can give the little reporter a âsneak peekâ, of course.
Idia is unresponsive when Yuu hands him off to Hermes, to the point that Ortho is beginning to get legitimately worried when he fails to respond to the sight of his favorite animes or ads for new events on his prized gachas. Itâs only around the time when Charon would usually crack open a snack to help fuel himself during a frenzy of building or gaming that Idia actually stirs and responds when Ortho brings him some cup ramen. He curls around the styrofoam container, absent-mindedly slurping up his noodles as he wonders aloud if that means heâs scored a major flag for the Yuu route.
Malleus keeps thinking about how the child of man held him close to them and ran, even though itâs days later. He canât get it out of his head, for some reason, how nice it felt to be close to them, the look on their face when they let him down again, what they smelled like, which isnât bad, but itâs veryâŚdistracting. He tries asking Lilia for advice on what to do about this. Lilia, in full trolling dad mode, tells his charge that itâs part of a human tradition that will continue to have a hold on his senses until he returns the favor to the little reporter. Naive, trusting Malleus tries following his guardianâs advice. All that results in is a flustered, stuttering reporter, and an entirely new set of distractions for himâŚplus Liliaâs new blackmail material.
