2.0 is a magnificently mounted film. It is bold, innovative and talks about a subject that many wouldn't care talking about. Shankar as a film maker has always made thought provoking films and 2.0 doesnt disappoint. It has ground breaking VFX, a terrific villain and loads of Rajni power. The film has almost no songs which makes it even better. Rahman's background score is the film's highlight though. The action set pieces are well mounted and the climax although is imaginative but lasts more than it should. The performances are all good. It is amazing to watch Rajnikanth do what he does even at 70. Akshay Kumar makes a smashing debut in Tamil cinema as the antagonist and Amy Jackson is just apt as the humanoid NILA. But the film belongs to one man and that is Shankar. His vision and his talent are what take 2.0 to another level. This is India's costliest film but unlike a recent movie, this film seems to have made the most of every crore spent. Watch 2.0. It is unlike anything that Indian cinema has made before. . .
