Okay..I'm using my real name to rant about a "friend" of mine. I'm nervous yet excited for high school, but, I have a friend who I've been friends with since kindergarten who's going to the same school as me. I'm not actually going to say her name but..I'll just call her Marie. Her name isn't actually Marie although I do have a friend named Marie but she's nicer and not a two faced bitch. There's this other girl who I think spawned this attitude towards me sooo I'll call her...Janet. So let's begin. Honestly I don't feel comfortable being around her. I feel like I'm constantly being judged by her. I also feel like I embarrass her. You see, I'm a cosplayer. So naturally I like to dress weirdly, wear wigs, ect. She's claimed that she isn't comfortable with her otaku self..but she's clearly okay with embracing her emo side and being mean. I have a thing against stereotypical emos. I have friends where they are emo but you can't tell. "Marie" has some friends where if I cosplay, they laugh and giggle and start saying things. I honestly don't care what they have to say but when my own friend starts ridiculing me, I get pissed. To me, friends are supposed to stand up for each other, but they can joke around in a mean way but only if they're good friends. "Marie" and I were good friends in 6th and 7th grade, but when 8th grade came around..she changed. Now, I have no clue how long "Marie" and "Janet" have been friends but I don't think it would have been in 7th grade because "Marie" and I had a friend who I'm going to call Gabby. Now "Gabby" and I had the same personality. Very quirky and sarcastic at times. We liked to have fun. To me, if "Marie" had been friends with "Janet" last year, "Marie" and "Gabby's" friendship wouldn't have lasted. She would have been mean and judgmental. "Janet" doesn't like me. I can tell. I've tried to be friends with her but she constantly have me mean looks, like subtle glaring and things like that. But I guess it's natural, I'm a goth who hates generic emos. Though I never show it. I try to be friendly. We had 3 classes together last year..we barely talked. I tried to talked to her, I really did. She showed no interest in interacting with me. Last year, "Marie", "Janet" and I all had a class together. That's where "Marie" would ignore me and stuff like that. Luckily I had another friend who I could talk to after and before class. But it just hurts when you have a friend who you've known for most of your life who decides to ignore and ridicule you. This year I'll be wearing regular clothes, I want to see how she reacts. I swear if she's friendlier I will go off on her. I've been thinking about how she was and I don't want her to act like that again.
