Like in all animals, the point of conjunction of the two embryos is completely variable. In theory it should be possible also to get a snake with one head and two bodies, or one head at either end, etc. So the answer to your question is yes, sometimes. In the wild, these mutants rarely ever survive; they either have complications or are more vulnerable to predation.
