Kyosukeâs eyes widened slightly. âJinchuurikik?â He had heard stories about beasts from the old folks. None of which had been very positive, but the childish part of him held curiosity and awe for the creatures, wonder what it would be like to be able to meet the beings up close.
âWhat kind of stories have you heard?â The boy asked, head slightly tilted. âAre they any good?â
âWellll....â She racks her brain for here-say stories thatâve been handed down to her from her superiors and her teammates.
âUh, well, Iâve heard sheâs used these weird blue fireballs to incinerate enemy shinobi-â She tries to tiptoe around the details. âApparently, she spits them out like mice or something, it sounds crazy. I really wish I could see it myself.â
She smirks to herself, finding her admiration for Lady Yugito creeping over her. Lady Yugito had always been an inspiration for Karai ever since she was a little girl, so gushing over her idol was something that came naturally.
âSheâs pretty nice too, from what Iâve heard at least. Which is great because iâd rather not have the âyou shouldnât meet your heroesâ moment if I ever get the chance to have a one-on-one with her.â She starts to ramble, nearly forgetting the goal of showing Kyosuke around Kumogakure.

He wouldn't miss this for the world. âMy name is Itachi,â he continued, looking deeply into her Uchiha black eyes.        The eyes that hopefully wouldn't turn into sharingan red.        âI'm your uncle,â he answered her questioning look, closing his eyes as he let the tenderness of the situation seep into his bone-tired body.Â
âI hope you realize that Iâm coming with you, whether you like it or not.â Kyosukeâs tone was firm, but his eyes were pleading. âI just got you back. Sasuke had an expression of apprehension on his face, his mouth forming a thin line. "These are my sins to bear alone," he said, "you're only going to get hurt." He wasn't worried about the people who were after his own head, but Sasuke wasn't willing to put Kyosuke in danger.
He paused to gather his thoughts before continuing. "It's not like I'm leaving foreverâI just need some time away to sort things out. I can't lose you too," he said, his voice full of worry.
