hi! i had a question as someone trying to sell merch online, i see you both have an etsy and a storenvy, do you have a preference of one over the other? looking to start a shop but theres so many sites its very confusing!
as a small artist who's never had much luck w/ social media, I highly recommend etsy (yes, despite their fees and bad rep) for anyone starting out. for years I struggled to sell stuff from storenvy only which ngl destroyed my self-confidence ;; etsy traffic is amazing and I don't even advertise my etsy! I still keep my storenvy as my main shop b/c they don't have listing fees and I have so many prints that just sit unsold for ages. also, it's safer to post fanart there imo. if I actually had the following/luck to reliably drive my own traffic I would probably switch to a monthly paid site like bigcartel or shopify tho (in addition to etsy), since storenvy charges the customer an additional fee which kinda sucks. hope that helps!
