sometimes i’m struck by the sheer basicness of the outfits people put together and these are the people i choose to follow. like, yes, you can pair a beige turtleneck with jeans. did someone need to see a vid of you doing that to think of it? ... maybe but not me. but it’s totally on me that i don’t unsub from some of these folks, and sometimes i’m subbed basically because of the energy or inertia more than anything else.
anyway these days there are relatively few of my fashion/thrifting youtubers who actually put together interesting pieces in creative ways:
well-loved
steal the spotlight
twinelle
mariel/dress relief
dress me up scotty
and then i’m cut off on embedded videos, but Salinda Nichols does some very Rachel Maksy-esque looks (and yes obviously I do still get inspo on the rare occasion that Rachel Maksy or TheClosetHistorian do a vid that’s more outfit than sewing).
