she takes a hesitant step toward him, one that is both pointedly cautious yet undeniably predatory. her black eyes are trained upon his with an inhuman intensity. they’re yearning, pleading, a raging torrent of conflicting emotions: mournful grief, ineffable fear, but the most prominent of them all, desperate HUNGER.

❝ quentin, i’m so frightened. ❞  the words choke her throat, her voice hoarse and hollow, with a keen hint of rising fear contained in her tone. nonetheless, every utterance that drips from her fang-tipped mouth is strangely hypnotic. he’s utterly transfixed, compelled by her gaze to stay frozen in place while she glides toward him, creeping closer. lips part just slightly, revealing the new points of her teeth –

– suddenly she recoils, emitting a horrified wail as she tears her petrifying gaze away, hiding her face with her hands.

       ❝ NO! i won’t! ❞

she’s trembling uncontrollably, nails tearing fresh marks into her cheeks that heal instantly as her grip loosens. hands lower slowly from her face, revealing those terrible dark eyes yet again. but there is no longer any trace of the ravenous hunger that consumed them just moments ago – now there is only tearful panic, a whimpering terror that is almost childlike.

which one sexts like a straight white boy?  practically every other sentence out of quentin collins’ mouth is a Straight White Boy Sext™….how is this even a question

which one cried during a fucking disney movie?  maggie, but she cries at any movie. she’ll always get really invested in the plot, no matter what the subject matter, and she’s weak for those sad disney moments. she literally could not make it through bambi if she tried. she hates herself for it, but quentin can’t resist teasing her about it.

who put a goddamned fork in the microwave?  i feel like they’ve both done this at some point tbh

who does the silly hands-over-the-eyes “guess who” thing?  quentin literally every chance he gets. maggie plays along every time and never gets sick of it.

who puts their cold hands/feet on their partner?  definitely quentin. the man has no concept of personal space, not that she usually minds.

who had that embarrassing reality tv marathon?  maggie lmao….she’s a sucker for those cooking show competitions. she’ll watch old seasons of shows like hell’s kitchen and masterchef back to back just to yell along at the tv.

who laughs more during sex?  probably quentin, but they both have plenty of moments.

❝ perhaps not for you. ❞  almost immediately, she regrets what she said. quentin’s not the type to take offense at jabs to his expense, but she knows better than to weaponize his immortality against him. it’s a subject they tend to avoid discussing.

       tatiana was raised beneath the principle of godliness  ;;  her family exercised restraint in their daily lives, temperance and prudence whenever possible.  the imperial children were brought up on camp beds, cold baths, plain tea…    they did not indulge in the excesses of luxury which marked the russian court.  now the romanovs have been vilified as wasteful, wanton rulers, when nothing could be farther from the truth.   living in debauched paris only makes her feel more separate from the world around her  ;;  as if she sees it all through a veil, with no way, no desire to belong.
