That’s what friends are for
Sam let out a breath. He looked over at his friends. He wasn’t sure on how he was going to talk about this. It wasn’t like he could just come out and say that sex sucked, since he didn’t really have anything to compare it too. He felt someone smack him on the back of his head, “focus!” Spencer yelled, “you’re getting us killed and I’m not planning on losing to dumb and dumber,” he said. Sam sighed, “fine.” He began to smash a bunch of buttons.Â
“Dude,” Spencer asked, “What’s going on?” Sam leaned back sighing “I just...” He shook his head. “Is sex always bad?” he finally asked, “I mean we’ve done stuff, and that was good but we when actually, y’know.” He closed his eyes, “It was kinda bad, like really bad, I felt like nice and all but I thought it would be like.” Sam moved his hands, “Y’know good, like getting an awesome blowjob but like better.”
“Man, you gotta do it more than once,” Jake said looking at him, “give it a chance, put on some sweet music, and weren’t you both virgins? Cause if you were that explains it, you had no idea on what you were doing. Do it again, and then again and again. And you’ll see that it’ll get a bit better. You just gonna do it and do it over and over again that’s the only way it’ll get better.”
“And whatever you do, don’t tell her it sucked cause if you do, you won’t be getting any,” Spencer added with a grin.
Sam sighed. It wasn’t any real, or well, good advice he had gotten but he could probably work with it somehow. But he wasn’t sure if he should take Spencer advice and not tell Quinn, they should probably talk at least a little. And maybe it was bad cause they weren’t alone and scared to let anyone know what they were doing.

That's what friends are for || Pucklefaberry
Quinn leaned up against the side of her car, flipping between texts with Sam and texts with Puck, until she decided to tell Puck where she was. She just wasn't in the mood for Sam right now. Luckily, Puck was willing to get her and a half hour later, when his headlights came into view, she calmed down. When he walked up, she kicked herself away from the car and met up with him. "Uh, you can just take me home. I'll get it towed tomorrow," she said, making sure it was locked and she had all of her things, before following him back to his truck.
Puck "Good choice cause I suck when it comes to cars," Puck shrugged with a laugh, waiting until she was ready and then going back to the truck. Opening up her door since he was already on that side and then going over to the driver's side and getting in. "How are you?" he asked, knowing that her and Sam had been fighting.
Quinn "Guess I called the wrong guy," she said with a sigh. "Thanks," Quinn whispered as she brushed past him and got into the car, buckling her seatbelt up and leaning back. She kicked off her shoes, waiting for him to join her. When the car started, she immediately changed the radio, drowning out his question. "Sorry, can't hear you."
Puck "Yep, totally," he nodded and rolled his eyes when she turned up the radio. But he quickly reached down, turning it off and looking over at her. "Talk, Fabray," he said, starting the truck and slowly pulling away from her car.
Quinn glanced out the window, watching as they grew farther and farther away from her car. She had a small moment of worry that she'd come back the next day and it wouldn't be there, but it quickly subsided, being replaced with worries of Sam instead. "Is it... really terrible that I've, uh, considered breaking up with him?"
Puck was a little shocked when she finally spoke and he heard her words, but he shook his head. "I wouldn't say it's terrible, considering he did lie and you guys have been fighting. But," he sighed and looked at her, "Breaking up with him when he's got health issues, not cool."
Quinn "And staying with him because I feel guilty isn't?" she retorted, raising her eyebrows. "I'm just tired of it. It's not what I want anymore."
Puck "Is guilt really the only reason you're with him?" he asked, looking at her briefly before turning back towards the road.
Quinn shook her head sadly. "You know I love him, but I can't do this. I can't do the fighting and the crying and the loss."
Puck saw the look on her face and pulled the truck over, turning his body to face her better. "You need to tell him that. He's just being stubborn cause of football, you need to let him know that it's either you or football. Cause I think we both know he'd choose you."
Quinn shook her head, pulling her legs up to her chest. "I said it the other night and he told me he'd take them, but I don't believe him," she shrugged. "I don't trust that he's actually taking the pills. Not with a game tomorrow."
Puck thought it over for a minute before sighing, "Yeah, me either." He ran a hand through his mohawk and shook his head. "I'll keep my eye on him and..talk coach into doing mostly running plays, which would mean Sam wouldn't do anything but hand me the ball. The team we're playing has a good defensive line anyways, so Sam shouldn't hold the ball long anyways."
Quinn nibbled on her lower lip to keep herself from crying. The last thing she needed was doing that in front of Puck. "That could help," she said, her voice strained from holding back the tears.
Puck frowned, not used to seeing Quinn like this around him and reached across the truck to pull her into his arms. "I'm sorry, Quinn. You don't deserve any of the shit that happens to you."
Quinn couldn't help but snuggle up when he pulled her closer. "Someone thinks I do, apparently," she scoffed, referring to the God she so blatantly did not believe in.
Puck tightened his arms around her, holding her close and shaking his head. "It's bullshit. It'll get better for you, it has to. And I know I used to not be, but I'm gonna be here for you when it's not. Alright?"
Quinn nodded her head as a few tears escaped her eyes. "Alright," she said, reaching up to brush her cheeks dry. "I'm surprised I still have tears left to cry," she commented, trying to make light of the situation, though it clearly wasn't working.
Puck "No more tears," he said, helping her wipe them away as he pulled away, "Why don't you come hang out with me and Rachel tonight? Maybe Santana is she's okay. It'll be better than you being by yourself."
Quinn nodded her head as she returned to an upright position in her seat. She rested her chin in the palm of her hand. "Yeah, that works.."
Puck "Alright. That's what we'll do," he nodded and started the truck back up, changing the direction he was heading to go back to his and Santana's.
Quinn remained silent the rest of the drive, still struggling with what to say to Sam. She somehow saw another fight erupting and no matter what they said to one another, it kept ending in a break up in her mind. But that wasn't what she wanted. She just figured it'd be for the best.
Puck knew that now was the time to stay silent and let her think, so he did that until they pulled up to the house. "Come on. I think Rach might be asleep though, so we can just hang out in the living room," he shrugged and hopped out of the truck.
Quinn slipped out of the truck and followed him up to the house, waiting for him to unlocked the door before heading inside. It was then that she felt her phone buzz and read the message, her face going slightly blank as she did so.
Puck unlocked the door and stepped in, not hearing any noise other than tvs from both bedrooms and turned around to shut the door. "Wanna wat-," he started to say until he saw the look on her face, "What happened?"
Quinn cleared out of the message and slid her phone into her pocket, reaching up to brush her hair out of her face. "I'm not sure, but I think we might have broken up."
Puck "Quinn..I'm sorry," he sighed, unsure of whether he should hug her again or not, "Come on, we'll put a movie in and I think San has ice cream. That's what girls like during these situations, right?"
Quinn shook her head, stepping away from him slightly. "It's fine... I mean, I'm fine," she paused awkwardly, brushing her hands against her jeans. "Can I just... where's the bathroom?"
Puck "Down the hall," he pointed and motioned for her to go, "I'll be on the couch when you come out." He nodded and walked over to sit down on the couch to wait.
Quinn "Thanks," she said, walking into the bathroom and locking the door behind her. She leaned her back up against it and slid to the ground, curling up into a little ball.
Rachel stretched and walked out into the living room, curling up next to Noah. "Where's Quinn?"
Puck "Welcome," he nodded and leaned back against the couch just as Rachel walked out, wrapping an arm around her, "Bathroom. She's not doing so good so she might need girl talk or something. I was doing my best, but I don't think I did very good."
Rachel frowned "I figured as much. Poor thing has a tendency to always blame herself for these sort of things. She's taking this Sam thing really hard, understandably so, but it's still terrible to see her like that."
Puck shook his head and sighed, "I'm pretty sure she said they just broke up, Rach. That's why she wanted to go to the bathroom, to be alone, I guess."
Rachel looked at him in shock. "What? N-no. No. That's... No. They're clearly both just upset over their current situation."
Puck shrugged but nodded, "That's what she said, babe. I think stuff with them is more serious than we realize."
Rachel sighed and leaned her head into his shoulder. "What a mess."
Quinn slowly stood up, tucking her phone away into her pocket once more. She ran cold water over her face, drying it off with a hand towel before returning to the living room. "Sorry, I just... Oh. Hi, Rachel," she said, clasping her hands in front of her body awkwardly.
Puck "I know," he nodded, kissing her forehead just before Quinn walked out of the bathroom, "Don't apologize and don't just stand there. You're allowed to sit down, you know."
Rachel sat up a little more and gave her a small smile. "Hello, Quinn. Noah's right." She nodded and tilted her head. "How... How are you feeling?"
Quinn nodded her head, crossing the room and sitting down in the chair opposite them. She shrugged. "Like I'm in a mental hospital with the way you two are staring at me."
Puck laughed and shook his head. "Sorry. Just worried or something," he shrugged like it wasn't a big deal.
Rachel laughed a little. "We apologize. We're just concerned, that's all."
Quinn nodded her head, picking at the hem of her t-shirt as they spoke. "No reason to be concerned, Rachel. I'm fine, really. It's not like everyone's getting married at sixteen anyway," she said, smirking at them.
Puck nodded along in agreement with Rachel before smirking right back at Quinn while pulling Rachel closer, "We're allowed to be concerned, so deal with it."
Rachel rolled her eyes playfully and and smiled at Quinn. "At least we're concerned as a unit. The Puckleberry's retain the right to worry about the ones they care for." She nodded firmly.
Quinn furrowed her brow at their conjoined last name. "You two belong together, I swear," she said, hanging her head with a laugh.
Puck looked at Rachel and laughed when she mashed their last names together and then looked at Quinn, "I married the biggest dork on the planet."
Rachel laughed and shook her head. "Of course you say we belong together because my husband happens to be as much of a dork as I am."
Quinn nodded her head, letting out a laugh as she snapped her fingers together. "That's it! You took the words right outta my mouth."
Puck pouted at them both and groaned, "I am not a dork."
Rachel looked at Noah and giggled softly. "You most certainly are."
Quinn feigned innocent. "She said it, not me."
Puck "I am not," he pouted some more and crossed his arms over his chest, "Oh, yeah. You're totally innocent over there."
Quinn let out another giggle, surprised to be so... blissful after what just happened. Then again, it was probably that fake, nervous laughter taking over, and it would dissipate once she was alone again. "I am innocent."
Puck "You liar," he said to Quinn but with a smirk to show he was kidding.
Quinn shook her head with a smirk. "I'm not lying," she said, before nodding towards Rachel, "But I think your wife's fallen asleep."
Puck "Uh huh," he said, still pretending to be skeptical before glancing down at Rachel and nodding, "I think she has too. Are you tired?"
Quinn shrugged, nodding her head. "A little, yeah. I'll just get comfy on the couch."
Puck "Alright. Let me carry her into our bedroom and then I'll bring you a pillow and blanket," he nodded and scooped Rachel up into his arms before making his way into the bedroom with her. He carefully laid her down on the bed and grabbed an extra pillow and blanket to take out to Quinn. "Here."
Quinn "Alright," she said, watching them leave before standing up and moving to lay on the couch. When he returned, she took the pillow and blanket, setting both up on the couch. "Thanks.. for everything."
Puck "No reason to thank me, but you're welcome. I'll set my alarm to be up early enough to take you home to get ready, then I'll give you a ride to school," he said before going around to turn all the lights off, "Night, Quinn. Try to get some sleep."
Quinn "Works for me," she said, nodding her head as she crawled under the blanket to get comfortable. "Night," she said, knowing his words were to no use. She wouldn't get any sleep that night.
That's What Friends Are For || Ellie and Nate
Walking down the gloomy road of the small English town Ellie could hear her heart pounding over the music streaming thru her headphones. The only time she had ever been this nervous was the night of her first date, though even that seemed like baby steps compared to this. Without much thought she took the familiar walk to Nate's apartment, somewhere she had been many times before. Though this time would be much different then all her visits, this time Eloise had to ask Nate the biggest favor ever. They had been best friends for a long while now, and Nate had told her that he would always be there for her, but was this to much to ask? "Ellie, what are you doing?" She asked her self repeatedly. She had no idea what she was going to say, no game plan, but somehow it felt right. How can one plan something like this? They don't, that was the answer. No one in their right mind did things like this, but Ellie wasn't in her right mind so maybe that was her excuse. "It isn't to late to turn back." The voice in her head was beginning to get louder. As the rain began to fall Elouise opened her umbrella and let out a sigh. Waiting for the light to change she stood silently on the sidewalk, letting the sound of Adele sooth her mind for a bit. There was only one block to go, it wasn't to late to turn around. She has almost considered it to, until she passed the travel agency. Standing silently in front of the large glass window she admired the destinations advertised. She was going to visit them all, as soon as she got Nathaniel to agree to her crazy plan. "Open up, it's me!" She called out as she knocked on the apartment door, closing up her umbrella. She waited and took her earphones out, wrapping them up and putting them in her purse. Once the curly haired boy appeared at the door Ellie could feel her heart in the bottom of her stomach. "H..Hey Nate." She hugged her friend and walked in. "Home alone?" She asked as she looked around the living quarters, no sight of his roommate anywhere. Once it was confirmed they were alone she took a seat at the kitchen tables and sighed. "Nate, you know your my best friend right?" She flashed a smile on his direction not sure where she was going with this. "I would do anything for you, that's what best friends are for, isn't it?" She twiddled her thumbs and kept her eyes down, making sure not to make contact with Nate's. "And you would do the same for me, I hope." Looking up to see his response she gulped. "Well I have a favor to ask, it's a little far fetched, but there is something in it for both of us..." She let her voice trail off just now, collecting the thoughts in her mind.  "So the thing is... Well, I want to travel the world. You know that." Everyone who knew Ellie knew that, it was her biggest dream. "Though in order to do that I need money, a lot of it." She took a pause to make sure he was following. "My family has a rule though... My grandma, as you know was very wealthy." She want sure why she was explaining all this, Nate and Ellie knew nearly everything about one another but somehow it made her feel better, taking her time to get to the point. "She left us all money, and I am sure it is a lot, more then enough to travel..." She let her eyes fall down in her lap once more. "But The rule is, I can't get my inheritance until I get married, and I can't get married until I have a groom." Ellie hoped he was getting what she was hinting. She didn't want to have to ask him straight out.Â
