This year is going to be tough! It’s going to be the toughest year you’ll ever live through! It’s going to be filled with so much pain and so much hurt, you’re going to try and lash out at the world and yourself. You’re going to try and take your own life because you feel like there is no other way around what you are going through. You are going to experience so much in one year, more than anyone should have! But you will survive!

I know you’re scared! And you have so many new emotions, you feel like you aren’t pretty enough or smart enough to be like everyone else. But you are! You need to stay strong! You need to see that you are perfect the way you are! You aren’t meant to fit in but stand apart.

This year, you’re going to loose the man who helped mold you, and loved you. Your grandfather is going to be called home to the Lord. It’s going to cause you so much grief and hurt. You’re going to feel lost, and not know what to do. But you need to know, he left the best part of him inside you. You have him when you smile, when you love others you will honor him, you will show the world what he left behind. When you use your voice to sing, others will hear the good times you shared. He never left you, he is inside you! Remember every word he ever said, every hug, and every laugh. He loves you and always will.

This is the year you’ll make new friends, have your very first crush, but you’ll also loose your virginity in such a violent way. You’re going to blame yourself, your going to think it’s all your fault but it isn’t. Your going to hate what they did to you, and it’s going to make you feel like your nothing and you deserve to be treated that way, but your not any of those thoughts. You are going to make it through this! You will learn to trust again! Just know you don’t have to give in to those negative thoughts, you don’t have to be what others think of you! You can rise up and be something more!

If I could tell you one thing to remember it would be this, you are worth love and you are strong. Remember all of your dreams and hang on to all the good moments you have had, you’re going to need them.
