The crate she carried was considerably larger than something a girl her size should be able to handle. Luckily for her, she’d spent years lugging around things larger than a girl her size should be able to handle and thus she had no trouble carrying the crate from one end of the block to the other. Almost, anyway.
As confidently as she moved, and as polite as she was excusing herself by other people, it was impossible to avoid everyone. She bumped into him, causing her to double back and drop everything she was holding. While she knew she should have been concerned about the person she’d knocked over, her blue eyes instead followed a few screws and bolts that bounced and rolled away. Further and further and... clink! Right into the sewers.
“No! No! No!” On all fours, Winry scrambled toward the drain. Desperately, she tried to reach in. “It took me literally forever to find those pieces...!”
