The Walking Dead: Aaron and Eric
Ok so this contains some spoilers from the comics but not until late on so I will warn when it gets to that point.
So it was coming, comic readers knew it and it was obvious from last weeks episode, Eric’s death. And I believe they handled Eric’s death beautifully. Yes Aaron left him before he died which makes it extremely bittersweet but Eric TOLD him to, and kept telling him, it wasn’t a reluctant command either, Aaron wanted to stay but Eric understood the situation and said that he needed to fight.
But everyone is getting mad over it, saying it was meaningless and that Aaron shouldn’t have left him and that it is sooooo obvious that Aaron and Jesus are gonna get together and that makes Eric’s worth nothing.
Now this is where the comic SPOILERS come in so if you don’t want them I suggest you skip this post.
So do Aaron and Jesus end up together: yes
Does it make Eric meaningless: no
It takes ages for Aaron and Jesus to become a pair in the comics, in fact it is extremely recent. Aaron does not start a relationship with anyone for a while because he mourns Eric so much.
I’m pretty sure the first case of Aaron and Jesus is after all out war where they have a mini fling and Aaron says Jesus is a “show off”. However they do not start their relationship until the whisperer war; which is after a four year time gap.
So Aaron does take his time and Eric’s death is meaningful. SO CALM YOUR SHIT. The only problem I would have is if they make it happen quicker in the show as it makes the death have less meaning.
