I’ve been kinda burnt out from reading and writing, I decided to take a break and maybe focus on real books (that is going horribly) and rewatching the walking dead. I’ll be here to answer asks/messages but my works will come to a stop until February. 🩷

I honestly think I would change who was killed in the lineup episode… I just think it was too early for Glenn. i would hate for it to have been Maggie, but I almost think it would have worked better for the show… would have made Glenn step up into this character that I think we only got a glimpse of by then.

Do you think that if Shane had had a girlfriend or wife he wouldn't have been with Lori? I know that in the series little by little Shane is losing his sanity so I also wonder if having a person or family of his own by his side would prevent it?

Hmmm I think he still would have helped Lori and Carl, but maybe not have started to sleep with her. I’m not sure. I think it’s slightly eluded in the very first couple episodes that maybe him and Lori had a spark of something before the apocalypse even started. (I don’t think they were but there’s a scene in particular that gives off the vibe that maybe Shane liked her before)

I think shane and loris affair was a crucial plot point so I want to say it wouldn’t have mattered wether he had a partner or not. He would have still fallen obsessed with her and keeping her and carl safe. But, if he had a partner or gf before, I could see him having left the group with them because he did still feel like the black sheep. He would have probably still been in disagreement with Rick during the end of season 2. So I think if he had had someone to kind of talk him down and give him the love and reassurance that he craved, I think that the conflict of trying to kill Rick could have been avoided.

I guess they kind of tried to have Andrea be that person for him for a moment anyway…

Terminus is one of my all time favourite plot lines for so many reasons. But honestly, I do think they’re horrible people and here’s why; Everyone has gone through trauma. We’ve seen Ricks group at some of their absolute lowest, even by season 4 (Like Rick having literally killed a man by biting out his throat). And while I understand that Gareth and his people are doing what they’re doing (to survive) and that they went through something really awful with people who took over their camp, they still didn’t need to become who they became. To start luring people to their camp to kill them and eat them. Hilltop, Alexandria, Oceanside, and Ricks group never even got close to doing something like that, and we know all of them suffered trauma as well. Especially after the saviours.

So yes. I do think they’re horrible people. I think they tried to justify their actions as survival even though there were plenty of other options such as farming and gardening that they could have used.

I think he would deal with it in a similar way that he dealt with comforting Carol about Sophia. When he brought her the Cherokee rose, and said his little piece? I think it would go something like that.

Like at first it would be almost annoying to him. The first thought that crosses his mind is that you’re a bit of a crybaby. Maybe he rolls his eyes at the sight of you getting worked up over some small comment that was made at your expense. But as time goes on and he gets to know you, he softens up. The same way he did with everyone. Carol, Rick, you. It’s all the same. And as soon as he’s got a soft spot for you, he’s very protective.

I think he’d definitely be more apt to defend you or comfort you because of how competent you are with life skills and survival. I mean, he’s seen you stay calm in some extremely high pressure situations. He ’s been right by your side when you and the others have gone through borderline hell just to make it home safely. So to witness you break down because someone was being an asshole… well that’s just not gonna slide for him. And I don’t think he’d be shy about it either. The second he sees you holding back those tears weighing down your lash line, and biting your wobbly lip, he’d tell whoever is making you cry, exactly where to shove it. And even though you really fucking hate the confrontation and the fact that it’s bringing more attention to the situation, you appreciate that there’s at least someone in your group that will stick up for you. That’ll speak his mind and maybe swing a few fists, but ultimately that he’s willing to be a shoulder you can cry into when he gets you alone.

That’s just what I think though:)

I am so glad that you love my blog and the works I have made, but unfortunately I do not write for Shane! He is a character that I just cannot write for. He ignites a rage in me that cannot be stilled 😭 I apologize and hope there are no harsh feelings homie.
