My good pal 217 just posted a new drabble with Negan based off 193 and I loved the fuck out of it.

TWD issue #193 final.
I wanted to add some landscapes and some special moments. Also, Michonne and Carl moments.
First pic is something I think a lot of fans was hoping to see someday of older badass Carl. So there it is Carl with eyepatch and Michonne’s sword. Though bit different than their expectations, because the story is about living in peace and all. Walkers are rare and no one needs weapons all the time.
I liked the stars (with Sophia), birds (with Lydia), and the western front art (Eugene, train!). That Rick statue!

TWD 193 SPOILERS
Aside from Jesus and Aaron growing old together, and Carl's family, here's my favorite parts:
Environmental commentary, gorgeous
and...
"Negan lives" I lol'd
Man, is 2019 just the year that The Walking Dead ends?
On the end of The Walking Dead
I just finished the issue and had to take a few moments to calm down from ugly crying (the graves! Oh god, the graves did me in!)
I loved it. It was everything I wanted in an epilogue.
I’m so sad to see the series end after all this time. But it was time...and I understand, from a writer’s perspective, what it feels like to just know when it is over and there is no more story left to tell.
 [Snip, snip for spoilers!]

An article from Forbes and spoiler from 193 Letter Hacks (one that mentions the characters)
and my thoughts before the sudden ending of TWD comics.
The Walking Dead comic is ending tomorrow, evidently.
And I'm half gutted and half relieved, to be honest. Part of me didn't want to move on after Rick. I didn't want to see characters that I've loved (*cough*Negan*cough*) come back in an inauthentic way just to be killed or tortured. I didn't want a Rick 2.0 arc with Carl. Rick's death felt like an ending. I guess it was.
Plus the series has been treading water for a while now. I've loved some of what they've done, but a lot of it has felt hollow and lot like they were phoning it in. So I think this is right. Give us an epilogue and we'll end it.
But goddam am I gonna miss reading it. It's been part of my life for so long. I started when I was just a young woman, back in 2006. Now I'm a "Real Adult" with a house and a husband and shit. This series has been with me through some formative times, and I've always looked forward to reading it. Even when I fell behind for a bit, I knew the issues would be right there, ready for me to catch up and be in that world again.
It's going to be a sad read tomorrow. But I think I'm ready to let it go.
